ABOUT ME
UX/UI DESIGNER
Hello!
My name is Sam and I’m a UX/UI Designer from Toronto, Canada.
I specialize in user research, user testing, creating wireframes, user flows, and prototypes. I enjoy solving user problems that require creative and logical thinking to achieve practical solutions. I consider myself to be someone who has strong communication skills, is very organized, and a team player. My approach to creating a great user experience is practicing empathy and putting that into action when designing contemporary and modern solutions. I have a background in graphic design, illustration, and customer service. This is something that I believe enhances my skills as a UX/UI Designer.
I enjoy working with others to help bring ideas to life, develop brand identity, and create modern and inventive concepts and designs.
Some programs that I feel I excel at include Figma, Miro, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
If you would like to work with me, please don't hesitate to reach out via my contact page or through social media! I am available for local and global projects.
SKILLS
USER RESEARCH
My approach to user research is being open minded, asking open ended questions, and practicing strong listening. I apply these skills through the use of practical research methods. These include general and tailored surveys, user interviews, and user testing.
USER EMPATHY
My approach to user empathy is ensuring that my user knows that I am coming from an unbiased and non-judgemental place so that they feel as comfortable as possible when sharing feedback. I always like to begin user testing sessions by mentioning that any opinions shared will not be taken personally.
QUALITATIVE INTERVIEWS
My approach to qualitative interviews involves creating open ended and thought provoking questions beforehand. When developing an interview plan, I ensure each question stems from an objective and is examined carefully to avoid asking anything that could be considered rhetorical, closed, leading, and/or probing.
